Quartz: A Question Answering System for Dutch

We describe a question answering system for Dutch that we used for our participation in the 2006 CLEF Question Answering Dutch monolingual task. We give an overview of the system and focus on the question classification module, the multi-dimensional markup for data storage and access, the answer processing component, and our probabilistic approach to estimating answer correctness.

Question Answering for Dutch using Dependency Relations

Building Infrastructure for Dutch Question Answering

We report on the construction of the first-ever open domain question answering system for the Dutch language. In addition to providing experimental results based on the CLEF 2003 QA test set for Dutch, we also identify a number of key natural language processing resources that are needed to further question answering for Dutch.
